Moses Baskets and Bouncers – Baby

[ad_1]

When considering what to buy for the arrival of your baby, it may be worth thinking about getting a Moses basket and/or a bouncer. These two baby equipment have proved to be helpful in the transition of a newborn’s life in the following weeks ahead.

The good thing about these two items is that they come in different price ranges. Parents considering getting them at least have the option to look for something within their means.

Moses Basket

A Moses basket comes in very handy as some parents decide to use it initially for the first couple of weeks. Some parents like putting their newborn in the Moses basket during the day and some also take it with them when they go on visits, etc. Some of them come with stands and if they don’t; you can purchase the stand separately.

A baby could stay in a basket up until they start rolling around and sitting up and then it would deemed unsafe as it does not have straps/harness to keep the baby safe and secure.

Some features:-

– Space savers

– lightweight

– affordable

There are some people who have complained that the handles are not strong enough and that the wear and tear comes quickly. One would find however that a lot of people like it because of its simplicity and they would say that the basket should be held at the bottom and with the other hand holding the handles.

Whilst some baskets come with stands, this is not always the case and therefore depending on the needs of the parent, they may want to invest in one. Some stands are designed to rock whilst others are stationary – it’s all down to what you are looking for.

It is important for parents who decide to purchase a Moses basket to make sure they place the basket in a safe corner of the house. Parents should be wary of placing the it in close proximity to a fireplace or heater.

Bouncers

Bouncers come in different variations – size, shape, function and design. Some are suitable from birth while some are not. There are some that are designed in such a way that parents would have to wait till their baby can hold their head up before placing them in the bouncer.

Depending on what you are looking for, there are bouncers that are very simple, plain and only bounce when someone rocks it.

There are some that are battery operated that have functions such as music, vibrations and also come with shapes or small animals attached to it.

Some are also designed in such a way that you can remove the padding when the baby grows a bit older.

As all babies are different, parents will find that what stimulates baby A, may not necessarily do the same for baby B, hence the reason for different bouncers that meet different needs.

These are some of the functions of a bouncer:-

– soothes and calms baby

– attachment to the bouncer stimulates baby

The price of bouncers varies from cheap, moderate and expensive – so at least there is something out there for everyone.
